Regional Sales Manager (RSM).

RS-232. A serial device control protocol that allows for computers to control
video decks and other hardware.

Sony/Philips Digital Interface (S/PDIF). A format for sending digital audio
information.

SpeakerLinX. An intelligent room controller/amplifier. The SpeakerLinX
SLSL220/SL250 is a 2 x 20 Watt IP-Based amplifier with high quality
distribution and control. The SLSL220/SL250 not only acts as the amplifier, it
also serves as the network controller with an integrated web server. Burr
Brown® D/A converters ensure the highest audio quality. Decodes and plays
uncompressed (WAV) as well as MP3 files.

Stream. Video or audio transmitted over a network that users can begin to play
immediately instead of waiting for the entire file to download.

StreamNet. Technology used to manage audio/video streams.

Subnet Mask. Determines where the network number in an IP address ends
and the node number in an IP address begins. A node is anything on a network
that needs an IP address to communicate (a PC, server, router, etc.).

Subscriber. An external control system such as Crestron or AMX.

SwitchLinX. A 24-port IGMP-enabled managed Ethernet switch is designed
specifically for handling the high demands of IP-Based networked Multi-Room
Audio/Video.

Thin Film Transistor (TFT). A type of LCD flat panel display screen in which
each pixel is controlled by one to four transistors.

TouchLinX. This IP-Based in-wall LCD touch screen keypad features a

3.8-inch, high resolution, TFT color LCD touch panel, which displays the
metadata (artist, album, song, cover art) and transport controls available for
each audio source or SpeakerLinX module.

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). a combined set of
protocols that performs the transfer of data between two computers.

TheaterLinX. This IP-Based home theater bridge allows audio sources
connected to an AVR to be accessed from the multi-room system and sources
from the multi-room system to be played through the AVR.
