To select a VOR frequency from the VOR page:
1. Select the VOR page from the WPT page group, as described on page 94.
2. Press the small right knob (
r
) momentarily to place the cursor on the VOR identifier field. If
you wish to select another VOR, use the small (
a
) and large (
d
) right knobs and press
E
when finished.
3. Rotate the large right knob (
d
) to highlight the frequency field and press
E
to place the
frequency in the standby field of the VLOC window.
4. To activate the standby VLOC frequency, press
V
.
User Waypoint Page
In addition to the airport, VOR, NDB and intersection information contained in your
Jeppesen NavData® card, the GNS 430 allows you to store up to 1,000 user-defined
waypoints. The user waypoint page displays the waypoint name (up to five characters
long), identifier and radial from two reference waypoints, distance from one reference
waypoint, along with the user waypoint’s latitude/longitude position.
