Troubleshooting

This section describes problems that may occur during BL-N90 operations and how to
correct them.

Problem

Possible cause

Remedy

The BL-N90 is set in the
communication unit, but the
yellow LED does not light up.

The communication unit is
not turned on.

Confirm that the AC adapter is
connected correctly to the
communication unit.

The charging terminals for
the BL-N90 or the
communication unit are
dirty. (*)

Clean the charging terminals.

The laser does not turn on.

The BL-N90 battery is
running low.

Charge the BL-N90.

The laser turns on, but
quickly turns off again.

A barcode is read, but the

buzzer sounds twice

.

After reading the barcode, the

BL-N90 blue LED flashes

and the buzzer sounds

.

If the blue LED on the
communication unit is
flashing, a connection is not
established between the
BL-N90 and the
communication unit.

1) Check that the communication

cable is connected to the
communication unit.

2) Use the BL-N90 to read the BD

address barcode of the
communication unit to establish a
connection. (

3) Scan the initialization barcode.

When the blue LED on the
communication unit is not
lit, the AC adapter and
communication cables are
not connected correctly to
the communication unit.

Confirm that the AC adapter and
communication cables are
connected correctly to the
communication unit.

If the blue LED on the
communication unit is lit, a
connection is established
with another BL-N90.

1) Press the page button on the

communication unit to search for
the connected BL-N90. (

2) Press and hold "Trigger" on the

BL-N90 to enter sleep mode
(

page 3-14).

3) Reconnect the BL-N90 that you

want to use (

2-13, page 2-14).

The distance between the
BL-N90 and the
communication unit
communicate is not visible,
10 m or less.

Use the BL-N90 within a 10 m, visible
range of the communication unit
(

page 2-19).

* The alarm may sound if the terminals are dirty.
