Device Assignments

Device assignments for multi-drop link mode and multi-head mode are different. This section
explains those differences.

Device Assignments for Multi-drop Link Mode

The data range controlled by the N-410 includes the PLC internal memory.
Set the device header address in the N-410 "PLC settings" for automatic assignment.

(Header address area or read trigger area for each ID number)
• (DM header address) +00, +01 are the buffer overflow and clear areas for the connected BL Series

or SR Series device .

• (DM header address) +02 to +32 is the area for specifying which address to write data read from a

code to.

• (DM header address) +33 to +61 is used for sending trigger signals to connected BL Series or SR

Series devices. However, this area cannot be assigned if the "Trigger area input" of the N-410 settings
is disabled. These are available for other uses.

• The write header addresses for +02 to +32 can all be set to the same address. If this is done, all BL

Series devices will write to the same address.
