HELPFUL HINTS
REPLACING THREAD SPOOLS
When replacing thread spools, the following steps may be
helpful for quick changeover.
1. Cut off existing threads near the spools. Tie the cut ends
thread from new spools as illustrated (seamen's knot).
2. Raise presser foot.
3.
Lower needle bar to its lowest position by turning hand
wheel AWAY FROM YOU. Carefully pull the existing threads
until the connecting knots pass through needle eye and
looper eyes.
CUTTING NEEDLE THREAD
Frayed thread may make needle threading difficult.
Draw the thread near the thread cutter on the needle plate and
push the thread cutler lever or draw the thread passing under
the moving cutter and turn hand wheel towards you to obtain
clear cut end as illustrated.
CONSEILS D'UTILISATION
REMPLACER LES BOBINES DE FIL
Les conseils suivants seront utiles pour changer rapidement et
facilement les fils de bobine.
1. Couper les fils installés près des bobines. Faire un noeud
avec le nouveau fil comme montré (noeuds marins plats).
2. Relever le pied presseur.
3.
Abaisser la barre-aiguille en position la plus basse en
tournant le volant vers sol. Tirer avec précaution les fils
installés jusqu'à ce qu'ils passent dans les chas des
aiguilles et des boudeurs.
COUPER LE FIL D'AIGUILLE
Un fil effiloché peut rendre l'enfilage de l'aiguille difficile.
Tirer le fil vers le coupe-chaînette de la plaque-aiguille puis
abaisser le levier de commande du coupe-chaînette ou tirer le
fil et le passer sous le couteau mobile, tourner le volant vers soi
pour obtenir une extrémité de fil bien nette.
