Opening a GPIB Connection
When a GPIB command is sent to the DWDM Passive Component Test
System, information about the command appears in the IQS-12004B GPIB
main window.
The information contained in the different columns is explained below:

#: This column indicates the request number.
³
GPIB Calls: This column indicates the name of the command received
and its parameters, if any.
³
Results: This column provides a description of the command. If an
error occurred, the error number as well as a description of the error
will be displayed in red.
³
Time: This column indicates the time when the command was
received by the system.
³
ibsta: This column indicates the state of the GPIB card. For more
information, refer to the GPIB card instructions manual NI-488.2
