If the encoder is connected with the IK 115 over a cable with
additional sensor lines for the power supply, and a power
supply of 5 V is to be adjusted, HEIDENHAIN recommends
the following:
Activate the “Adjust voltage over sensor lines” check box.
This compensates attenuation of voltage between the IK 115
and the encoder.
You will find the required data in the quotation, the order
confirmation, or the delivery notes of the encoder, or in the
documentation of the machine tool builder. You can also find
the “supply voltage“ and a code for the model of encoder on
the ID label of on the encoder housing at the following places:
If there is no description of the encoder available and it is not
possible to ask HEIDENHAIN, the coding of the encoder type
can be interpreted as follows:
SSI09 and SSI10:
SSI encoder (programmable)
EnDat01: EnDat encoder
SSI????: SSI encoder (standard)
