Encoder status
Each transmission of position information also includes status
information.
Depending on the type of encoder, this includes information on
encoder alarms, encoder warnings, and the quality of the
incremental signal. The encoder status is displayed in
abbreviated form in a box of the encoder data bar and in the
position data window. If the box is green and “OK” appears,
there are no errors. If, however, the box is red and “Error”
appears, there is at least one error. A double click on this box
activates the encoder status dialog.
[ Encoder > Encoder Status ] activates a dialog that displays
this current encoder status. If alarms, warnings or incremental
signal errors are displayed, you can reset them with the
button.
Immediately after switch-on, component defects may be
displayed although there is no malfunction.
