Configuring the interrupts
Since the current software does not support interrupt
operation, no jumper is permitted on the interrupt
configuration plug X4!
Installing the IK 115

Be sure that the workplace and the technician are properly
grounded during installation.
Since the Adjusting and Testing Software cannot provide all
function without the IK 115 absolute value board for PCs,
HEIDENHAIN recommends installing the IK 115 in the PC
before the software. To do so, first separate the PC from its
power supply, the open the housing and remove the slot cover
in front of a vacant ISA slot. Plug the IK 115 into the ISA socket
and then reinstall the slot cover in the PC housing. Finally,
reclose the PC housing, reconnect the power cord, and switch
on the PC.
