Displaying position error
By selecting [ Window > Position Error ] the position error
window is activated. It shows the deviation of the incremental
position from the absolute position.
The error is shown in absolute measuring steps. Through
button restarts the measurement of error.
The measuring error caused by the measuring principle is
one measuring step.
Display of measuring error is not available if an EnDat
encoder is in the “continuous clock” mode (see
“Configuration of the IK 115 transfer parameters). You will
find the permissible deviation of the absolute and
incremental position values of the respective encoder in the
memory area for the encoder manufacturer or in the encoder
specifications.
