SSI encoders (programmable)
For encoders with SSI interface it is necessary to enter further
parameters defining the data transmission.
Encoders with the programmable SSI interface cannot
communicate bidirectionally like those with the EnDat interface,
but with the programming interface (RS-232 interface), they
make it possible to communicate.
The software of the IK 115 prompts you to make the necessary
entries. You do this either during initial activation of the position
update ( [Encoder > Position Update] or when you press the
corresponding
switch in the toolbar, or through [ Encoder
> Encoder parameters ].
You will find the files required for the further configuration in
the documentation of the respective encoder (e.g. in the
Mounting Instructions, the delivery note, the order confirmation
or the encoder catalog).
If you do not have these documents, you can have
HEIDENHAIN send them to you at any time. In this case,
please indicate the ID number (Id. Nr.) and serial number of the
encoder.
