SSI encoders (standard)
Since the SSI interface cannot communicate bidirectionally like
the EnDat interface, you must enter additional parameters to
define the data transmission.
This happens either during initial activation of the position
update ( [Encoder > Position Update] or when you press the
corresponding
switch in the toolbar, or through [Encoder >
Encoder parameters].
You will find the files required for the further configuration in
the documentation of the respective encoder (e.g. in the
Mounting Instructions, the delivery note, the order confirmation
or the encoder catalog).
If you do not have these documents, you can have
HEIDENHAIN send them to you at any time. In this case,
please indicate the ID number (Id. Nr.) and serial number of the
encoder.
After all encoder parameters required to display the position
values been entered, click
.
Then the position value display can be activated through the
key.
