You can also use this tool to find network settings, such as the network name (SSID) and password

(network key).

Fix Wi-Fi Direct connection issues

1.

Print without connecting to same Wi-Fi network (Wi-Fi Direct)

2.

Make sure that the Wi-Fi Direct icon on the printer display is on.

3.

From your wireless computer or mobile device, turn on the wireless (Wi-Fi) connection, and then search

for and connect to the Wi-Fi Direct name of your printer.

4.

Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password when prompted.

5.

If you are using a mobile device, make sure you have installed a compatible printing app. For more

Restore original factory defaults and settings

Learn how to restore printer factory defaults and network settings.

If you have made changes to the printer or network settings, you can restore the printer to the original

factory settings or network settings.

If you restore the printer network settings, you must reconnect the printer to the network using the HP

Smart app. See

If you need to restart the Wi-Fi setup mode, retore the printer network settings.

You can also troubleshoot network connection issues by restoring the printer network settings.

Restore printer factory defaults from the control panel

Restoring the printer to factory defaults returns all printer and network settings to the factory defaults.

1.

Press the Power button

and wait for the printer to completely turn off.

2.

Press the Resume button

and Black Copy button

at the same time.

3.

While holding the two buttons, press the Power button

to turn on the printer.
