Dose Information
• For the average patients examination, CARE Dose
does not require any manual changes to the scan
protocol. However, the mAs must be adapted manu-
ally for obese and pediatric patients.
• The mean value of the mAs applied will be lower
than what you have selected. Although the average
mA for the entire scan will be lower than selected,
we allow the scanner to apply increased mA levels
for the high attenuation views. This may cause dif-
ferent results of the tube load controller when
switching on and off CARE Dose.
• The mean value of the effective mAs applied is
shown in the image text.
