Power Cord Requirements

The type of AC power cord supplied with the library depends upon the configuration ordered, and the
country of destination.

Criteria for U.S. and Canada 120 VAC power cord:

The power cord must have a molded NEMA 5-15P male attachment plug on one end.

The power cord must have a molded IEC type CEE-22 female connector on the other end.

The power cord must be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

Criteria for U.S. and Canadian 220 VAC power cord:

The power cord must have a molded NEMA 6-15P attachment plug on one end.

The power cord must have a molded IEC type CEE-22 female connector on the other end.

The cordage must be an SJT or SVT type, 3-conductor, 18 AWG minimum.

The power cord must comply with local electrical code.

Criteria for an international 220 VAC power cord:

The power cord must have an attachment plug of the proper type, rating, and safety

approval for the intended country.

The power cord must have an IEC 320 female connector on one end.

The flexible cord must be harmonized to CENELEC publication HD-21. The electrical

characteristics and rating must be minimum H05VVF3G0.75 (6 A).

SCSI Cable and Terminator Specifications

This section describes the SCSI cable and terminator requirements.

SCSI Cables

Plasmon recommends using wide LVD SCSI cables that conform to SCSI-3 specifications.

NOTE

To comply with the regulations and standards listed at the front of this
manual, all SCSI cables you use with the library must be properly
shielded.
