2.4.2 DGF Serial line

Using the DGF serial line RS485 port it is possible to communicate with an external
device (e.g. PC) by using S-LINK 3 protocol.
The DGF uses the following S-LINK3 commands:

1)

“Read typed parameter” with S=0, fixed length (only one parameter per command)
and “DATA TYPE” included between 2 and 8.

2)

“Write typed parameter” with S=0, fixed length (only one parameter per command)
and “DATA TYPE” included between 2 and 8.

2.4.2.1 HIBS

2.4.3 DRIVE SERIAL LINE

By using the serial line of the drive RS485 port, the DGF can be accessed as it is
directly connected to its serial line.
The HIBS program can be used in the same way. The only thing you must remember is
to choose the appropriate protocol and address.

2.4.4 DeviceNet

The DGF and drive parameters, IVARs and FVARs can be read and written via
DeviceNet.

2.4.5 Serial bus interface (SBI)

DGF parameters can be read and written via an optional communication card (Interbus,
Profibus, etc).
