2.5 DRIVE PARAMETERS

All the drive parameters are accessed using the DPRAM communications of the DGF.

With the high priority synchronous communications (high speed) it is possible to
exchange only a subset of the drive parameters. This subset is listed in the drive manual
in the “LIST OF HIGH PRIORITY PARAMETERS”. This list includes the main
regulation parameters (speed, current ref..), encoder parameters and pad parameters.
Limits of these parameters are not tested on the drive so the limits must be controlled
in the DGF program. Please note that the measure units of high priority parameters are
different from the units of low priority parameters. For detailed information see the
drive manual.
Encoder parameters allow the DGF to read the Encoder position, Speed and Last time
of the two encoders of the drive regulation.

The Pad parameter may be programmed on the drive to read the three analog inputs or
write the analog outputs of the TBO. Pad parameters are also used for fast communication
between a bus card (e.g. Profibus) and a DGF.

With the low priority asynchronous communications it is possible to exchange a
larger subset of parameters. The digital I/O of the two TBO cards can be exchanged by
using pad parameters A and B.
With manual communication it is possible to exchange all the drive parameters.
