4.5 Configuration

4.5.1 Additional functions

The operating concept of the positioner is based on a strict separation between basic and additional
functions. Only the basic functions are activated in the delivery state of the unit. These enable the
unit-specific basic settings to be carried out on the initial setting up (cf § 4.3). These are adequate for
normal operation. For more demanding tasks of position and process control, additional functions which
have been preset in the configuration level, can be selected and specified.
The additional functions are listed below. For further informations about these functions , see § 4.5.4.
