Rename tracks

When you choose a patch for a track, the track takes the name of the patch. You can rename a
track at any time.

Rename a track
Do one of the following:

m

Double-click the name in the track header, then enter a new name for the track.

m

Control-click the track header, choose Rename Track from the shortcut menu, then enter a new
name for the track.

Change track icons

By default, tracks use the same icon as the patch chosen for the track. You can change a track’s
icon at any time.

Change the icon for a track
Do one of the following:

m

Control-click the icon in the track header, then choose a new icon from the shortcut menu.

m

Select the track, click the track icon in the Track inspector, then choose a new icon from the Icon
pop-up menu.

Change track colors

By default, track colors reflect the track type. You can change the color of specific tracks, to use
color to help visually organize the Tracks area and identify tracks in a large arrangement. Track
colors are visible when you configure track headers to show the track color bars.

Changing the color of a track also changes the color of the corresponding channel strip in
the Mixer.

Change the color of a track
Do one of the following:

m

Select the track, choose Track > Assign Track Color, then select a color from the Color palette.

m

Control-click the track header, choose Assign Track Color from the shortcut menu, then select a
color from the Color palette.
