Copy and paste staffs or voices
In the Staff Style window, you can copy and paste staffs in a staff style, and also copy and paste
voices in a staff.
Copy and paste staffs in a staff style
1 In the Staff section of the Staff Style window, select the staff.
2 Choose Edit > Copy from the Staff Style window menu bar (or press Command-C).
3 Choose Edit > Paste from the Staff Style window menu bar (or press Command-V).
The copied staff is pasted above the selected staff. If no staff is selected, the copied staff is pasted
below the last (lowest) staff in the staff style.
Copy and paste voices in a staff
1 In the Voice section of the Staff Style window, select the voice.
2 Choose Edit > Copy from the Staff Style window menu bar (or press Command-C).
3 Choose Edit > Paste from the Staff Style window menu bar (or press Command-V).
The copied voice is pasted above the selected voice. If no voice is selected, the copied voice is
pasted below the last (lowest) voice in the staff. If a different staff is selected, the copied voice is
added is pasted below the last (lowest) voice in the selected staff.
Copy staff styles between projects
You can copy staff styles that you use frequently to other projects. You can import all staff styles
from another project, or copy only selected staff styles.
Import all staff styles from another project
1 Do one of the following:

Choose File > Project Settings > Import Project Settings.
•
Click the Browsers button in the control bar, then click All Files.
2 Navigate to and select the project file, then click the Import button.
Note: If accessing the settings from the All Files Browser, you also need to click the Import
Settings button, which appears after you click the Import button.
3 In the Import Settings window, select the Staff Styles checkbox (and deselect all other settings
that you don’t want to import), then click the Import button.
All staff styles from the other project are imported into the current one.
Copy selected staff styles from another project
1 In the project that contains the staff styles you want to copy, open the Staff Style window. (Single
view is displayed.)
2 Double-click in the space below the Staff Style parameters to display a listing of all staff styles.
3 Select the staff styles you want to copy, then choose Edit > Copy (or press Command-C).
4 Open the Staff Style window in the target project, then choose Edit > Paste (or
press Command-V).
Note: If you copy a MIDI region from one project to another, and the staff style used by the
original MIDI region doesn’t exist in the target project file, it is automatically copied, along with
the MIDI region.
