Customize the Mixer

Change the Mixer view

When the number of channel strips in the Mixer exceeds the amount of available space, you can
change the Mixer view.

You can use the Single, Tracks, or All button to display only those channel strips that you need
for the task at hand, or filter channel strips by type, using the channel strip filter buttons. You also
have the option of working with narrow channel strips or hiding the legend that appears on the
left side of the Mixer.

Switch between narrow and wide channel strips
Do either of the following:

Click the Narrow Channel Strips button to reduce the width of channel strips.

Click the Wide Channel Strips button to increase the width of channel strips.

Hide or show the Mixer legend

Choose View > Hide Legend from the Mixer menu bar.
Choose View > Show Legend to show it again.

Navigate within the Mixer

You can quickly move to the next or previous channel strip in the Mixer using the following key
commands:

Select Next (Right) Channel Strip (or press the Right Arrow key)

Select Previous (Left) Channel Strip (or press the Left Arrow key)

When multiple channel strip types are visible in the Mixer, you can choose a command to jump
to a particular channel strip type. This feature is useful when your Mixer view contains dozens, or
hundreds, of channel strips.

Navigate to a specific channel strip type

Choose View > Scroll To from the Mixer menu bar, then choose a channel strip type from the
pop-up menu.
