Operation: Dell™ PowerVault™ 136T LTO Library User's Guide

Normally, the host issues commands to the Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library. Operator control is provided via the Operator Panel. The Operator
is responsible for:

Starting the Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library.

l

Shutting down the Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library.

l

Handling media.

for media handling procedures. In the case of equipment failures, the operator can perform media

processing.

 Operator Panel

The Operator Panel provides an interactive path between the Operator and the Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library. Visual indications and push-
buttons enable the Operator to control the Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library. See Figure 1 for an illustration of the Operator Panel.

The Dell PowerVault 136T LTO Library Operator Panel is divided into four discrete areas; leftmost, upper center, rightmost, and lower center. The
leftmost screen area provides constant status about the Mailbox.
