Use rubberized CA to glue a rubber band to the gear door and
around the strut. Leave the rubber band slightly loose as the
distance between the door and strut will increase when the
gear has been retracted.

Check the operation of the retract and gear door. If the door
does not fully close, air pressure will hold the gear door in
position during fl ight.

Use a rotary tool and cut-off wheel to cut the wire strut on
the retract to the length shown in the photo.
