Use silicone adhesive to glue the dummy radial into the
cowling. Make sure to properly position the dummy radial so
the opening for the carburetor is aligned correctly, or that
the opening for the cooling air to the ESC is directed over
the ESC.

Use a pencil to transfer the locations for the cowl mounting
screws onto the cowl mounting blocks.

Slide the cowling onto the fuselage. Fit the propeller
temporarily on the engine shaft. Position the cowling so
there is 1/8 inch (3mm) of clearance between the propeller
and cowling. Rotate the propeller to check the clearance at
all angles.

Î Use a flat sanding bar and medium grit sandpaper to
round the cowl mounting blocks to match the curvature
of the cowling before placing the cowling on the fuselage.

Remove the propeller and cowling from the fuselage. Use
a drill and 5/64-inch (2mm) drill bit to drill into the cowl
mounting blocks for the cowl mounting screws. Thread a
screw into the holes using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Remove
the screws and place a few drops of thin CA in each hole to
harden the surrounding wood.

Retirez les vis et placez quelques gouttes de colle cyano fi ne
dans chaque trou pour durcir les fi lets taillés dans le bois.
Smontare l’elica e la capottina dalla fusoliera. Usando un
punta da 2mm forare i blocchi di supporto della capottina
per le viti di fi ssaggio. Avvitare una vite in ciascun foro e
poi toglierla per mettere alcune gocce di colla CA liquida per
indurire il legno circostante.
