■ Span can be set and dLsplayed as follows for flow velocity and flow' rates:
• Flow velocity: 01,0DD nVs (three digits after the decimal point)
• flow' rales:
2.83E-I-3 m^H (three digits and exponential)
■ Valid range of span is 0.1 m/s to 10 ra^s in Unns of flow velocity.
If yon try to set the span outside of this range, one of the following messages appears:
* H, OVER SPEC, (if the set value exceeds 10 nVs)
* L. OVER SPEC, (if the set value is less than 0.1 m/s)
Try again to set the span within the specified range.
■ When multiple ranges are used, the following must be observed;
• Range 1 > Range
2 >
Range 3 > Range 4 (unidirectional flow-, multiple ranges)
• Range 1 > Range 2, Range 3 > Range 4 (bidirectional flows^ multiple ranges)
If you try to set the ranges not conforming to I he above, the following message
appears;
t MULTI RNG ERR
Try again to set the ranges as specified above.
■ Totalization counting rale
If you have changed the span while the couniing rale is set for totalization^ the
counting rate for
100
% output may have exceeded the maximum couniing capacity.
[n this kind of evenu the following message appears and the system goes to the
counting rate setting sequence.

Set the counting rale (See 8.2.1 O^Counting Ratc"’)for the newly set span.
