4.6 On-site transport
The freeze-dryer comes with castors. It can be pushed by a suitable
number of persons over short distances. Over longer distances, it should
be transported by way of suitable lifting equipment (e.g. forklift truck).
Special equipment: Stainless steel bellow at the hydraulic cylinder
If the freeze-dryer is equipped with a stainless steel bellow at the hydraulic
cylinder, an underrun protection device for the hydraulic system is installed
at the bottom of the unit (see chapter 2.1.1 - ""). When lifting the freeze-
dryer, the underrun protection device must be positioned between the forks
of the lifting device.
