Translation of the original operating manual

Fig. 21: Shelf movement push-buttons at the operating panel (example illustration)

In order to move the shelves, the respective push-button has to be kept
pressed in combination with "Release". The shelves will move continuously
until one of the buttons is released or the upper or lower hard stop position
has been reached.

DANGER

Do not manipulate, remove, or disable the two-hand control of the shelf
movement device! Crushing hazard due to reaching into the chamber
during shelf movement!
Warn any persons in the vicinity prior to the actuation!

CAUTION

In order to seal the product vials by means of the hydraulic shelf

movement facility, the shelves must be completely loaded with identical
vessels
to avoid damaging shelves and guiding rods as well as breakage
of vessels. For partially loaded shelves use empty vessels with stoppers
put in or spacers (according to the height of the vials with stoppers) to
distribute the force of the hydraulic ram. Appropriate spacers are available
on request.

5.7.1

Special equipment: stainless steel bellow for the hydraulic cylinder

The stainless steel bellows shields the drying chamber from the hydraulic
cylinder. Particularly when drying in dishes, product residues may remain
inside the chamber after the freeze-drying process. The stainless steel
bellows prevents these residues from depositing on the oil film of the
hydraulic cylinder.
