Installing the plotter on the rack
1. Loosen the tray stop bracket screws so the tray stop brackets are positioned as in Figure 9-3.
2. Slide the plotter tray into the tray channels on the rails.
3. Position the tray stop brackets over the tray channel brackets. Tighten the screws.

CAUTION: Make sure the tray stop brackets are secured over the tray channel brackets. These
brackets prevent the plotter from falling out of the rack if the front thumbscrews are loose.

1. If necessary, adjust the thumbscrew brackets- Figure 9-1 so that the thumbscrews can be
tightened into them.
2. Tighten the thumbscrews into the brackets.


Changing the interface line setting
1. Loosen the two thumbscrews on the front of the plotter.
2. Pull the drawer tray forward to access the back panel.
3. You may wish to remove the plotter from the rack for easier access. (If you do not wish to
remove it, proceed to step 5.) Detach the AC cable and the data cable from the back of the
plotter.
4. Loosen the tray stop bracket screws (see Figure 9-3) and move the brackets inwards.
5. Remove the two washered screws from the top left and top right of the back panel, shown in
Figure 9-3. The back panel hinges down.


Media installation
Loosen the thumbscrews and pull the plotter forward. Install media.

The fan-fold paper tray must be installed on the back of the plotter when using fan-fold paper.


9.3 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
See Chapters 6 through 8 for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting procedures. Procedures
that differ significantly from the desktop V12 are listed below.


Removing the plotter from the rack
1. Loosen the two thumbscrews on the front of the plotter.
2. Pull the drawer tray forward.
3. Detach the AC cable and the data cable from the back of the plotter.
4. Loosen the tray stop bracket screws (see Figure 9-3) and move the brackets inwards.
5. Slide the plotter out of the rack. Reverse steps to reassemble.
