Replacing the display board
1. Remove the side panels as described in this addendum.
2. Detach the power switch connections.
3. Detach the display board cable connections.
4. Remove the air filter panel as described above.
5. Remove the three front panel screws. Remove the front panel.
6. Remove the two display board screws.
7. Detach the 5-pin connector.
8. Replace the display board and reverse steps to reassemble.


Replacing the AC receptacle
1. Remove the plotter from the rack as described in this addendum.
2. Remove the side panels as described in this addendum.
3. Disconnect the load wire (black) connector from the fuse.
4. Access the bottom of the plotter as described in this addendum.
5. Remove the ground wire nut (shown in Figure 7-29) from the ground stud.
6. Remove the ground wires from the ground stud.
7. Remove the ground lug connector from the plotter tray.
8. Cut the cable ties for the wire harness leading from the AC receptacle to the power switch.
9. Remove the three P-straps securing the harness to the plotter.
10. Loosen the white AC receptacle wire by pulling it through to the receptacle.
11. Hinge the chassis down on to the plotter tray.
12. Remove the four AC receptacle screws shown in Figure 9-3.
13. Remove the AC receptacle and associated wiring.
14. Replace the AC receptacle and reverse steps to reassemble.


Other repair procedures
Follow the instructions in Chapters 6 and 7 of this manual, with the following substitutions:

• Remove the side panels as described in this addendum.
• Access the bottom of the plotter as described in this addendum.

• The fuse is located above the AC receptacle rather than beside it. Push, twist and pull to

remove.

• The power switch is located at the front of the plotter. After removing the left side panel,

detach the four power switch connectors. Squeeze the sides of the power switch
housing and push it through the front panel to remove.

• The bottom cooling fan has a metal housing for cooling efficiency. When replacing the

fan, ensure this housing is installed.
