subsystem returns information about the module.

Subsystem Syntax

SYSTem

:ERRor?
:VERSion?

SYSTem:ERRor?

SYSTem:ERRor?

returns an error number and message from the instrument’s error

queue.

Parameters

Returns: 16-bit signed integer (int16) and a string.

Comments

Each query returns an error number and error string from the queue. When no
errors are in the error buffer, the query returns

+0,"No error"

.

*CLS

clears the error queue.

*RST

has no effect on the error queue.

SYSTem:VERSion?

SYSTem:VERSion?

returns the SCPI version the driver complies with (not the

driver version).

Parameters

Returns: string or float32.

Comments

Returns a decimal value in the form:

YYYY.R

; where

YYYY

is the year, and

R

is

the revision number within that year. Return value can be input as a string.
