Receiving a
call from a
payphone If you receive a call from a pay phone or some type of
public telephone, you see the word PAYPHONE on your
display.
Receiving a
call from a new
number When you receive a call from a new telephone number,
you may see the number displayed but not the name,
because the name may not be registered in the central
office where the call originated.
Receiving a
call from a
business If you receive a call from a business whose PBX is not
networked with your phone system, the business name and
number is displayed, but not the caller’s name or extension
number.
