7 Uninstalling the Bridge

Before uninstalling Bridge components you must exit Network Node Manager. Following the uninstall of the Bridge
components you should restart Network Node Manager and verify that HP devices are displayed using the original
(generic) icons and that the toptools functions have been removed. Bridge components on PC systems are
uninstalled using the Add/Delete Programs function in the Control Panel. Bridges on HP-UX or Solaris systems are
removed using a "remove" script.

7.1 Uninstalling the Server Bridge Component

The toptools server bridge component should be uninstalled using the Add/Remove Programs function in the
Control Panel.

Figure 7-1. Display the Add/Remove Programs dialog (typical Windows 2000 System).

Figure 7-2. Uninstall the HP Toptools Server Bridge.

Select the HP Toptools Server Bridge and click on Change/Remove. Because the bridge is used to populate the
toptools server database, it is recommended that the toptools database also be cleared. The Clear Database
procedure is documented in the Installation section of this guide. You may be asked to reboot your system to
complete the uninstall process.
