Changing the Exposure setting of a photo

Changing the Exposure setting lets you correct lighting irregularities in your photo.

From the Productivity Studio Welcome Screen, click File

ΠOpen to select the image you want to edit.

With an image open, click Enhancements.

Click Exposure.

Using the slider, adjust the amount of exposure to correct uneven lighting in your image. You can preview the
changes to your image by comparing the Before and After preview panes at the top of the window.

Click OK to accept your changes, or click Cancel to reject them.

Removing wavy patterns from scanned photos, magazines, or newspapers

Descreening helps to remove wavy (moire) patterns from images scanned from magazines or newspapers.

From the Productivity Studio Welcome Screen, click File

ΠOpen to select the image you want to edit.

Click the Advanced tab.

Click Image Patterns.

To remove the image patterns caused by scanning from magazines or newspapers, click Remove Patterns.

From the drop-down list, select the patterns to be removed.

To reduce stray marks on color photos, click the check box, and then move the slider to the desired value.

Click OK. The thumbnail is updated.

Printing photos

Printing photos from a CD or flash drive using the computer

Load photo paper with the glossy or printable side facing you. (If you are not sure which side is the printable
side, see the instructions that came with the paper.)

Insert a CD into the computer or a flash drive into the computer or printer.

If you are using:

Windows Vista, an “AutoPlay” screen appears. Click Transfer Photos to your computer using the
Productivity Studio
.

Windows XP, a “What do you want Windows to do?” screen appears. Click Transfer Photos to your
computer using the Productivity Studio
.

Windows 2000:

From the desktop, double-click the Productivity Studio icon.

Click Transfer Photos.

Click Select photos to print.

To print all photos, click Print.

To print selected photos, click Deselect All and select only the photo(s) you want to print.

Click Print.

From the Quality drop-down list, select a print quality.
