Breaking mirror
Follow the procedures below to break the mirror of volumes.
The procedures to break a mirror on C drive are discribed here.
1. Click [Start] - [Administrative
Tools] - [Computer
Management]. The [Computer
Management] window will
appear.
2. Right-click the volume of the
dynamic disk whose mirror is
to be broken and click [Break
Mirrored Volume…].
3. Click [Yes] on the [Break Mirrored Volume] dialog box.
4. Click [OK] on the [Logical Disk Manager] dialog box. (This dialog box is not displayed for
data volume.)
5. The mirror is broken and the
volumes will be converted to
simple volumes.
In the figure on the right, the
status of the volumes are as
follows:
