How This Book Is Organized

Chapter 1 “The Command Line Interface,”

describes how to connect to the switch and access

the information and configuration menus.

Chapter 2 “First-Time Configuration

describes how to use the Setup utility for initial

switch configuration and how to change the system passwords.

Chapter 3 “Menu Basics

provides an overview of the menu system, including a menu map,

global commands, and menu shortcuts.

Chapter 4 “The Information Menu,”

shows how to view switch configuration parameters.

Chapter 5 “The Statistics Menu,”

shows how to view switch performance statistics.

shows how to configure switch system parameters,
