<server> <filename>

TFTP System Dump Put

Use this command to put (save) the system dump to a TFTP server.

OTE

If the TFTP server is running SunOS or the Solaris operating system, the specified

ptdmp

file must exist prior to executing the ptdmp command, and must be writable (set with

proper permission, and not locked by any application). The contents of the specified file will
be replaced with the current dump data.

To save dump information via TFTP, at the Maintenance# prompt, enter:

Where server is the TFTP server IP address or hostname, and filename is the target dump file.

/maint/cldmp

Clearing Dump Information

To clear dump information from flash memory, at the Maintenance# prompt, enter:

The switch clears the dump region of flash memory and displays the following message:

If the flash dump region is already clear, the switch displays the following message:

Maintenance# ptdmp

<server> <filename>

Maintenance# cldmp

FLASH dump region cleared.

FLASH dump region is already clear.
