Next, decide whether to apply the changes at the prompt:

to apply the changes, or

to continue without applying. Changes are normally applied.

At the prompt, decide whether to make the changes permanent:

to save the changes to flash. Enter

to continue without saving the changes. Changes

are normally saved at this point.

If you do not apply or save the changes, the system prompts whether to abort them:

to discard the changes. Enter

to return to the “Apply the changes?” prompt.

After initial configuration is complete, it is recommended that you change the default

passwords as shown in

“Setting Passwords” on page 43

.

Optional Setup for Telnet Support

This step is optional. Perform this procedure only if you are planning on connecting to

the GbE Switch Module through a remote Telnet connection.

Telnet is enabled by default. To change the setting, use the following command:
