Click Start. A dialog box displays with the following options:

Auto-Rename—Parts will be saved with modified names in the
new database.

Overwrite—Parts will overwrite new parts with the same name.

Ignore—Parts with the same name will nobe be merged.

7.

Select the desired option and click OK. The parts from the source
database are merged into the target database, based on the option
selected above.

8.

Click Close to close the Database Merge

dialog box.

Converting Databases

If you are a user of an earlier version of Ultiboard, your User Database and
Corporate Database must be converted to Ultiboard 10 format if you wish
to use their components in Ultiboard.

Note

The option to convert the Ultiboard Master database is not available, as a new

Ultiboard Master database is loaded when you install Ultiboard.

Complete the following steps to update your databases to Ultiboard 10
format:

1.

Select Tools»Database»Convert Database. The Select Type dialog
box appears.

2.

Select either Convert V6/V7 database or Convert V8/V9 database
and click OK. The Convert Database dialog box appears.

3.

Click Select a Database File Name in the Source Database area. The
Select a Database File Name dialog box displays.

4.

Navigate to the location of the database that you wish to convert (your
source database), select the database type in the Files of type
drop-down list, select the database and click Open. You are returned
to the Convert Database dialog box.

5.

Select the Target Database. This is the database into which you will
merge the converted parts from your Source Database.

Corporate Database—Parts from the source database will be
converted and added to the Corporate Database.

User Database—parts from the source database will be converted
and added to the User Database.

6.

Click Start. The Duplicate Part Name dialog box displays.
