The boot ROM is located on device 0 and contains the OpenArchitect

zmon

application that

operates as a boot loader and includes a device bootstring. Device1 contains the application
flash1 image of the Linux operating system and the OpenArchitect overlay file system.
Application flash1 is the primary working image for the switch. Device 2 contains the
application flash 2 that is an exact copy of application flash 1. You would only boot from this
device if application flash1 is corrupted and you need to restore the switch to the factory-
shipped configuration.
