1 OVERVIEW

Electronic controller for management of a firefighting motor pump, installed separately or as

part of a pressure booster set, and built according to the specifications of firefighting

standard UNI EN 12845.

The controller is also available in a version for fire-hydrant networks, characterized by the

automatic shutting off of the pump after the pressure has remained constantly above the

starting pressure of the pump itself for the length of time required by the regulations (default

value: 20 consecutive minutes).

Dusty or sandy environments, or humid marine environments can cause early deterioration

and compromise the efficient operation of the unit.

The panels have already been programmed by the maker and must

not be tampered with, unless otherwise indicated by the maker. Incorrect unit

programming can completely change machine operation and, in some cases, can
cause serious harm to people or damage to property for which the maker declines
all liability.

1.1 Installation

Carefully read all the accompanying documentation before beginning installation.

Installation must only be performed by qualified personnel familiar with the EN12845

standard.

Install the electrical panel in a dry area observing the limits to use and ensuring that the data

on the rating plate is correct for the use to which the electrical panel will be put.

1.2 Connections

The connection to the diesel pump electrical line and accessories must be made by qualified

personnel that has been trained to use the machine according to the indications on the

attached wiring diagram and current regulations.

N.B.: Before powering the panel with VAC alternating current, the wires connecting the

starting battery must be connected; failure to observe this indication could cause faults to

the electric power unit which will not be recognised.

1.3 Maintenance

The electrical panel does not require any special maintenance; if necessary, all work must be

performed by qualified personnel that has been trained to use the machine.

It is forbidden to open the electrical panel before disconnecting the power line.
