8. The data that is sent to the handheld device overwrites the data that is
currently in the handheld application. A status bar screen appears to
indicate the data that is being sent down to the handheld application for
each data set: tracking number format, carrier, delivery status, location,
user, mailroom, package, package type, recipient, signature, and secu-
rity setting information.
9. After all of the data is sent to the handheld application, the Start screen
automatically closes. Tap Start > Programs > Package Track to open
the Package Track application on the handheld device. The application
contains the newly sent data. The data parameters that you set in the
Send Data tab will be followed by the system each time you sync data
from either the Batch Sync Utility or the handheld application until you
change them.
Uploading Data from the Handheld Application
Important: You must register and activate the Package Track application
in order to send handheld application data to the workstation application.
If your application is not registered, you cannot upload data from the
handheld application to the workstation application.
Information for transactions performed on the handheld device including
recipients, packages, and delivery signatures are sent to the Batch Syn-
chronization Utility via the synchronization process. The data synchroniza-
