upload via the Batch Sync Utility to make sure that the batch registration
files have been sent to the handheld device. Once the system validates your
license and permits data upload to occur, you may implement wireless
batch for syncing.

To implement wireless batch for syncing, please follow these general
steps:

1.

Register your Package Track application.

2.

Using the DMS Batch Synchronization Utility, send data to the hand-
held application via the Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile
Device Center. To do this, open the DMS workstation application.

3.

From the DMS workstation application, select Portable > Synchro-
nize
CE Device; the DMS Batch Synchronization Utility appears.

4.

In the DMS Batch Synchronization Utility, select the Send Data tab. In
the Send Data tab, click the Send button to download data to the hand-
held device through the ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center connec-
tion. This sends your sync configuration files to the handheld device.

5.

Once you have downloaded data to the portable device, through the
ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center connection, connect the
portable device to the wireless network.

6.

After the device is connected to the wireless network, check the Intelli-
Track DMS Sync URL
setting on the device. It needs to list the correct
network path for the IntelliTrack Sync URL setting on the network. To
find your Sync URL setting, go to the Preferences tab in the Batch
Synchronization Utility
; it is listed there and should look something
like this: http://SERVERNAME/IntelliTrack/
sqlcesa35.dll.

7.

On the device, open your Internet browser, type the Sync URL setting,
for example: http://SERVERNAME/IntelliTrack/
sqlcesa35.dll into your network browser and tap go. If the device
is able to locate the Sync URL dll (sqlcesa35.dll), it returns the follow-
ing message: Microsoft SQL Server Compact Server Agent.

8.

Once you have established this connection on the handheld device, you
are able to sync data without the use of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile
Device Center from the handheld device. To sync data from the hand-
held device, tap the Sync menu. The Sync menu contains two options:
Send Data and Receive Data. Use these options for syncing your data
over a wireless network.

For more information about the using the batch wireless connection to
sync your data, please refer to

“Transferring Data from the Device via the

Wireless Batch Connection” on page 162
