To transfer data, make sure that your wireless connection to the PC is
established. Use the Sync menu options in the handheld application to send
data to the PC and receive data from the PC. Data synchronization with
Package Track occurs via the wireless connection to the PC. (For more
information about using the handheld device to sync your data, please refer
to
“Sending Data to the Workstation Application” on page 164 and “Receiv-
ing Data from the Workstation Application” on page 164 .)
Important: When you receive application data from the PC via the wire-
less batch connection, the application will send the data established during
the initial synchronization settings via the Batch Synchronization Utility.
Once you begin using the wireless connection to send handheld applica-
tion data to the PC, the data is immediately uploaded and processed into
the PC application via the initial sync config settings that were set in the
Batch Sync Utility and sent to the handheld application.
Important: If you want to change your sync configuration settings, you
will need to use the ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center software
connection to reset them at the Batch Sync Utility. After you reset your
send data settings at the Batch Sync Utility, resend the data via the Send
button in the Batch Sync Utility in order for the application to use these
settings. When sending data to the handheld from the Batch Sync Utility,
you must use the ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center Software
connection. For more information about syncing data from the Batch Syn-
chronization Utility, please refer to
“Transferring Data with the DMS Batch
Synchronization Utility” on page 155 and “Setting your Sync Configuration
for Sending Data to the Handheld” on page 155 . After the settings are reset,
you may begin using the wireless batch connection again for sycing your
data.
Transferring Data with the Batch Portable Application
To transfer data from the batch portable application, use the Sync menu
option, which is available at the Main screen.
