Transferring Data from the Device via ActiveSync or
Windows Mobile Device Center Software

After you have established your sync routine in the Batch Synchronization
Utility, you are able to transfer data from the handheld device. When you
transfer data via the handheld device options, the application will use the
sync configuration settings that have been established in the Batch Syn-
chronization Utility. This means that if you have placed package and recip-
ient filters for sending data in the Batch Sync Utility, these filters will also
apply to the data synchronization that is done via the handheld. If you want
to change your sync configuration, you must reset it in the Batch Synchro-
nization Utility and then send the data from there before sending it again
from the handheld device.

To transfer data, connect the handheld device and the desktop computer
(by using a cradle, cable, or infrared connection); data synchronization
with Package Track occurs via the Sync menu options in the batch portable
application. (Please refer to

“Sending Data to the Workstation Application”

on page 164

and

“Receiving Data from the Workstation Application” on

page 164

for more information.)

Transferring Data from the Device via the Wireless Batch
Connection

You are able to transfer data from the device via the wireless batch connec-
tion. However, before using wireless batch, you must use an ActiveSync or
Windows Mobile Device Center connection to send the sync config files to
the Handheld application from the Batch Synchronization Utility. After
you establish your sync routine in the Batch Synchronization Utility, you
are able to transfer data wirelessly from the handheld device. When you
transfer data via the handheld device options, the application will use the
sync configuration settings that have been established in the Batch Syn-
chronization Utility. This means that if you have placed package and recip-
ient filters for sending data in the Batch Sync Utility, these filters will also
apply to the data synchronization that is done via the handheld.
