Customizing your own fax cover sheet

You can use the cover page wizard in the software to customize a fax
cover sheet. If you are not yet familiar with the software, see chapter
5, “Scanning,” before continuing.

To customize you own fax cover sheet

1

Open the JetSuite software.

2

On the Fax menu, click Create new cover page.

3

The wizard will ask you if you want to scan a new template or
begin with an existing one.

• If you choose to scan a new one, the scan dialog box opens.

Select the settings that are best for the type of document you
are scanning. For more information, click Help.

• If you choose to begin with an existing template, the Open

dialog box opens. Select the template and click Open.

4

When the template you chose appears in the JetSuite viewer, use
the Text Field Annotation Tool, which should be selected, to draw
a box next to the first word for which you want to create a field,
such as “To.” To do so, Place the crosshair cursor next to the first
word, and while holding down the mouse button, draw a rectangle
the shape you want and release the mouse button. The Format
Annotation Text
dialog box opens.

5

From the Text Field list, select the items you want in that field
when you type a cover sheet and click Insert. For example, in the
field next to the word “To,” you might want to select “First_Name”
and click Insert and then select “Last_Name” and click Insert.

6

To change the font attributes for how this text will appear, click
Font, make your selections, and click OK.

7

When you are finished adding items to this field, click OK.

8

To change the background color or border of the box, right-click
the field and click Text Field Annotation Properties. Make your
selections and click OK.

9

Repeat steps 4-9 to create more text boxes.

10 When you are finished making changes, on the File menu, click

Save to save changes to the current file. Or, if you began with an
existing template, you can click Save As to make a copy of the file
that includes your changes. The original remains unchanged.
