Boot
Monitor
The SA9200 Boot Monitor Command Line Interface (CLI) allows
you to configure boot options and manage boot configuration files.
Typically, the Boot Monitor is used only during initial configuration
or major reconfigurations, should the latter become necessary. Day-
to-day operations are managed with the CLI. See Chapter 2, “Theory
of Operations,” for an overview of SA9200 operations. See Chapter
6, “CLI Reference,” for details on specific commands.
General categories of tasks performed through the Boot Monitor are:
•
Configure and display boot options, including the configuration
file
•
Manage the boot configuration file system
•
Configure and change IP parameters
System Requirements
You can use any terminal or personal computer with a terminal
emulator as the CLI command station.
The terminal must have the following features:
•
9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and no flow
control.
