4.3 Error Messages
If there is a machine malfunction, the error screen appears with one of the
following error messages. Refer to the following table, and then perform the
indicated operations.
If the correct transmission is still not possible even after performing the de-
scribed operations, contact your service representative.
Error Message Remedy
Job did not complete properly due to
error occurred while dialing. Though the set number of rings are redialed, the fax
cannot be set as the recepient’s line may be busy.
Check the recepient’s status and then try sending the
fax again.
Unable to check sender The recipient’s machine could not be checked when a
transmission was sent with “Yes” selected below
“Check Dest. & Send”. Check the recipient’s fax
number, and then try sending the fax again.
Not enough memory to continue the
job. Memory becomes full while scanning the original.
Press [Start] key when the scanned original is to be
sent and press [Stop] key when it is to be stopped.
Transmission failed. Please check line
connection. The telephone line may not be connected.
Check the telephone line connection. If it is discon-
nected, connect it.
