Faxing by reducing the effect of dust from the left par-
tition glass (Despeckle)
About the Despeckle
Function that reduces the effect that the dust from the left partition glass has
on the scan data when scanning an original from the ADF.

Detail
The scan speed is slowed.
For details on cleaning the left partition glass, refer to User’s Guide [Copy
Operations].
To fax in the Despekle mode

Press the [Fax/Scan] key to display the Fax/Scan screen.

Load the original in the ADF.

For details on loading originals, refer to “Loading the original” on
page 2-7.

Touch [Original Settings].

Touch [Despeckle].
–
To cancel the settings, touch [Despeckle] again.

Touch [OK].
Returns to Fax/Scan screen.
