Sending the fax after specifying the relay destination
(F-Code TX)

Relay destination specification

The relay request is a function to send the original once to the relay distribu-
tion station and from there to the transmission destination. When there are
frequent broadcasts to distant recipient destinations, the entire communica-
tion cost can be cut down by grouping the relay distribution station and the
relay distribution destination according to area.

Note

The fax machine that makes a relay request is called the “Originating sta-
tion”, the fax machine which actually carries out the relay broadcast is
called the “Intermediate relay station” and lastly the fax machine that is
received is called “Terminating station”.

For making a relay request, the relay box number, relay password, desti-
nation group number should be specified in the fax machine of the inter-
mediate relay station.

This function can be used only when the recipient’s fax machine that is
relay distribution station has F-code functions. For details on F-code, re-
fer to “Fax glossary” on page 12-7.

Following functions cannot be used simultaneously.
Polling TX, Polling RX, Bulletin board registration, Bulletin board Polling
RX and Password TX
