The IP address of each XTC/3 instrument connected to the Ethernet network (in
the form xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ) can be added by first selecting the Ethernet item on the
ports list of the Port Settings page and then pressing the XTC3 Controller List
button. A Com Properties for Ethernet box will open (see
Figure 2-6
NOTE: If the XTC/3 instrument is directly connected from a stand-alone computer,
the ethernet cable should be a "cross-over" cable unless the PC has the
ability to dynamically reconfigure itself. Static addressing is supported.
